Western Cape road accidents have claimed 21 lives in a weekend of tragedy for the province. NARI is also reporting that 52 people have been arrested for DUI.
Traffic Chief, Kenny Africa, says in the latest crash this morning, three passengers died following a multiple vehicle pile-up between two trucks and a bus on the N1, between Laingsburg and Touwsriver in the Karoo.

Africa says among the fatalities reported this weekend, nine of them are pedestrians and ten passengers.
A total of 52 people have been been arrested for drunk driving in the Western Cape since the start of the weekend. Traffic Chief, Kenny Africa said one driver was caught for being five times over the legal alcohol limit in Caledon.
