The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Western Cape has released the names of 6 suspects believed to be involved in the Philippi East murders that took place last weekend.
Last week, 11 people were murdered in Philippi East including 6 women who were shot at a residence in the Marcus Garvey Community.
In a statement, SAPS has released the names of “people of interests” in the cases and a reward of R70,000 is being offered to aid the pursuit of these suspects.
“Detectives attached to [the] provincial organised crime [unit] who are responsible to investigate the recent murders that occurred in Philippi East are requesting the assistance of the public in tracing people of interest in the cases,” Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said on Saturday.

- Siphenkosi Gwazekhaya: AKA Bhoyoyo
- Shane Madolo
- Thamsanqa Lande
- Lubabalo Phethelo
- Onke Thafu
- Oyam Hlamu: AKA Mashesha
