Health MEC Nomafrench Mbombo launched the #JabsB4Jol campaign at a pop-up vaccination site at Rands Cape Town on Wednesday 1 September.
Mbombo said the province’s objective was to take the vaccine to where young people were.
According to the latest data, the Western Cape Government has administered a cumulative total of 2 046 973 vaccines to healthcare workers, staff in the education sector and those within eligible age brackets.
