The Western Cape Community Safety Department will be offering rewards for information that leads to the arrest and successful conviction of perpetrators in gang-related killings.
Residents who give crime tip-offs to authorities could be rewarded up to R5,000.
Community Safety MEC Albert Fritz said tip-offs can be made with the department at 021 483 5220. Alternatively, members of the public can also email Police.Oversight@westerncape.gov.za.
The information will be handed over to the police service.
Meanwhile police are probing the recent killing of three people in Delft on Tuesday night.
Fritz said the victims bring to 22 the number of people killed by gun violence over the weekend in Cape Town.
There were also three fatalities by sharp objects, which included stab wounds.
Fritz said the incidents appeared to be gang-related.
