SANDF head of communications Siphiwe Dlamini told News24 on Friday that the SANDF Cape Town deployment is still definitely going ahead, but it won’t be on Friday.
“It will go ahead as soon as we have all the necessary paperwork in order,” Dlamini said.
In a separate interview with the SABC, Dlamini also said, the army deployment will happen as soon as they are satisfied with the systems they have put in place for the deployment.
“We need to make sure all our papers are in place. We need to make sure our soldiers have received full orientation of the area and we know where we are going to”, Dlamini said.
Dlamini could however not give an exact date of deployment but said the deployment would happen “pretty soon”.
