COSATU Western Cape took to the streets on Wednesday to protest against rampant crime and to petition for better working conditions ahead of their May Day rally in Athlone.
Addressing the marchers, COSATU chairperson Motlatsi Tsubane said,
We want the police which deals with gangsterism effectively. We want police that patrols our streets on a daily basis as they do in Constantia.

|@_cosatu Western Cape Provincial Secretary Malvern de Bruyn previously said that they were expecting 10 000 people at their march.
“Our plan is to continue our call for government to reduce VAT,” De Bruyn said.
