Watch: Camps Bay beach-goers try to save beached whale shark

Footage has emerged of beach-goers trying to save a whale shark that had washed ashore at Camps Bay beach on Saturday. Dozens of people tried to save the whale shark by pushing it back into the ocean.

Instagram user Triumphant_Zoe_Destiny captured the whole incident and provided some colorful commentary.

Unfortunately, the rescue attempts were unsuccessful and by nightfall, the whale shark had died.
