Three suspects were arrested in Cape Town for a murder that happened on Saturday morning while South African Police Service (SAPS) anti-gang unit (AGU) were responding to another shooting on Saturday night which left a 13-year-old dead in Kraaifontein.
The young boy was shot and killed around 8:30 pm in La Boheme Street, Scottsdene Kraaifontein.
Lieutenant colonel Andre Traut said the circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.
An AGU deployed to investigate the circumstances of the boys murder subsequently arrested two suspects, aged 24 and 35, in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old man shot dead in Park Avenue, Scottsdene Kraaifontein on Saturday morning.
A third suspect aged 32 years was arrested in possession of a 9mm pistol and ammunition which was reported missing in Montclair in 2015.
Traut said the three suspects will appear in Blue Downs Magistrates’ Court once charged.
