The funeral industry in Cape Town has joined the funeral industry protests that began on Monday.
Among other grievances, undertakers are calling on the government to intervene and help small black-owned undertakers get operating certificates.
Protests in Cape Town have resulted in road closures after the N2 was blocked by a convoy which was making its way to the Home Affairs offices in the CBD to hand over a memorandum.
According to the City of Cape Town, a group of approximately 100 undertakers stopped on the N2 incoming at the Airport approach.
The funeral undertakers are protesting with coffins in the roadway.

Police have stopped approximately 100 striking funeral workers on the N2 between Bochards Quarry and the Airport Approach in Cape Town.
