The EFF in the Western Cape have gathered at the US Consulate, in Westlake Cape Town to protest against racism and police brutality.
The protest comes in the wake of the murder of George Floyd in Minnesota two weeks ago, Floyd died after police officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee on his neck during an arrest.
The Murder has seen a wave of protests from different parts of the world in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement, an international human rights movement, originating from within the African-American community, which campaigns against violence and systemic racism towards black people.
The EFF’s People’s protest against racism and police brutality will be addressed by EFF national chairperson, Veronica Mente.
