The community of Bishop Lavis has embarked on a protest on the first day of the Covid-19 community screening in the area.
Bishop Lavis residents are calling for government to provide residents with food, masks and sanitisers during the lockdown.
Bishop Lavis Action Community spokesperson, Amanda Davids said community members are upholding lockdown rules and regulations during the protest.
“We are adhering to the lockdown rules. We asked people to stay in their yards and hold their placards and use pots and pans and spoons just to get the sound going,” said Davids.
