UPDATE: Woman’s body recovered after vehicle plunged off cliff at Voëlklip

What a tragedy😔

The body of a woman, believed to be in her 50’s, has been recovered from the ocean after her vehicle plunged over a cliff at Voëlklip near Herold’s Bay in George.

According to reports the woman’s car, a red Chevrolet Spark plunged down the 100m drop last night.

Rescue efforts began after a member of the public informed the police about the incident.

The identity of the victim has yet not been released.

On October 22 Heidi Scheepers and her two children, Hugo and Cuzzette went missing after their vehicle plunged off the same cliff.

The bodies of Heidi and Hugo were found in the sea however efforts to recover Cuzzete’s body were unyielding. Police officially called off the search for the 6-year-old’s body last month.
