One person was injured after a train and a minibus taxi collided at False Bay level crossing on Monday morning.
Metrorail Western Cape spokesperson Riana Scott said that the incident occurred at 7.31am.
“Initial reports from the scene indicate no injuries on board train #0105, which was en route to Fish Hoek. The only occupant of the vehicle received medical attention on-site,” Scott said.

Fish Hoek-bound trains have been temporarily terminated at Retreat.
Commuters have been advised to make alternative transport arrangements between Retreat and Fish Hoek.
“Affected commuters will be advised at stations and passenger information/service updates will be provided on social media channels until the service recovery process is complete,” said Scott.

Due to the level crossing incident at False Bay station, the service between Fish Hoek and Retreat will be temporarily suspended. Technicians are still busy assessing situation.
