Table Mountain National Park ranger hospitalized after altercation with suspected poacher

A Table Mountain National Park ranger received medical treatment after an attack by a suspected poacher.

A Table Mountain National Park Sea, Air, and Mountain field ranger has been hospitalized after being attacked by a suspected poacher.

The suspected poacher was among six people arrested following the incident, with 112 perlemoen and diving gear being recovered from the vehicle used in the crime.

The TMNP’s Megan Taplin commended the team for arresting the suspects and wished the ranger a speedy recovery.
