Police release Manenberg cat killings suspect

The Animal Welfare Society of South Africa (AWS) says it is offering a substantial reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the Manenberg Cat Serial Killer.

At least 21cats have been mutilated over the past few weeks.

“We are saddened to report that despite our best efforts and exhaustive media coverage the senseless killing spree has escalated both in numbers and intensity.”

“Over the past 24 hours another 4 cats have been found disembowelled,” the AWS said in a statement.

The AWS says the police have refused to pursue the matter until a “credible witness” comes forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call 021 692 2626 or 082 601 1761 or email: inspector@awscape.org.za
