South Africa is officially under lockdown for the next 21 days to control the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.
The 21 day Covid-19 lockdown began at midnight Thursday, 26 March 2020 and is expected to end at midnight Thursday, 16 April 2020.
Hours before the lockdown Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said the number of confirmed cases had risen to 927, a rise of 218.

The Western Cape has the second highest number of infections at 229.
Government has urged people to stay at home, except for essential services staff.
