One of the children was airlifted to hospital following the accident.

Western Cape Health’s Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Deanna February said three children who sustained serious injuries were transported to the Red Cross Children’s hospital.

One child who sustained minor injuries was transported to Mitchell’s Plain Hospital, while the other children who also sustained minor injuries were transported to Khayelitsha hospital.
