George Woman dies after being run over by a truck in a hit and run

The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

A pedestrian woman was hit by a white truck in Courtenay street earlier this morning.

The accident took place near Augusta Grill.

The truck was travelling in the direction of York Street when the pedestrian was hit by the truck.

The pedestrian woman was declared dead at the scene of the accident in Courtenay street.

The driver remained on the scene until the body was removed by forensic pathology.
