Moehydien Pangaker pleads not guilty to Tazne van Wyk's murder

Moehydien Pangaker the man accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering Tazne van Wyk, 8, has pleaded not guilty to the 27 charges brought against him in the Western Cape High Court on Wednesday.

Tazne Van Wyk’s murder suspect had a warrant of arrest dating back to February 2019

Charges against him include common assault, kidnapping, 12 counts of rape, child exploitation, child grooming, murder, sexual assault, incest, intimidation and the violating or desecration of a corpse.

Pangaker pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

If found guilty on all the charges, he faces over 400 years in jail.

Tazne disappeared in February 2020 when she was last seen walking to a tuck-shop near her home.

Pangaker was arrested in Cradock in the Eastern Cape about a week after her disappearance.
