Missing poet found dead

Sicandar was last seen alive at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Condolences have poured in for the family of a young man whose body was discovered last night after he died in what was reported to be a hiking accident.

21-year-old, Igor Alexis Sicandar was reported missing on 21 June 2019.

According to reports, Sicandar was last seen at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens at approximately 11pm wearing blue jeans, a dark jersey, blue running shoes, and a dark blue jacket.

Sicandar has been described as a beautiful, sweet person who had a way with words.

“It’s not often in life that you meet someone who is truly pure and kind, to their very core. Igor Alexis Sicandar, you spread life and light wherever you walked. You saw beauty where others saw nothing. You wrote beautiful words, and drew beautiful pictures and you were just so beautiful,” a friend of Sicandar’s wrote in a heart-wrenching Facebook post. “We didn’t have you long enough, and I so desperately want another 21 years and more of you, but my life will forever be better, simply because you were in it. Thank you. Thank you for walks and beach days, thank you for taking me to plays, and for showing me so many wonderful things.”
