Three suspects accused of the murder of Meghan Cremer appeared in the Athlone Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with murder.
The three suspects from Lotus River and Egoli informal settlement – Jeremy Sias, 27, Charles Daniels, 39, and Shiraaz Jaftha, 34 – appeared briefly in court just before midday.
Meghan Cremer – a 30-year-old horse rider – went missing on 3 August and her body was found tied with a rope around her neck this morning at about 1am buried in a sand mine on Philippi farm.
After she went missing from her home on Vaderlandsche Rietvlei stables, a search ensured and in the evening of that day, 3 suspects were arrested on possession of a stolen car, belonging to Meghan.
In addition to kidnapping and murder, the trio is also facing charges of motor vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.
