Man Drowns at Bloubergstrand Beach

A 30- year -old man drowned at Bloubergstrand as thousands of people came out in their numbers to welcome the New Year at various beaches across the city.

The man was pulled out of water at 2:45pm, he was declared dead after 30 minutes of CPR.

Law enforcement and traffic officers across the Western Cape had their hands full across the beaches, with an estimated 40000 people visiting Muizenberg beach on the first of January.

Camps Bay Beach, Mnandi Beach and Strandfontein Beach were also very busy.
