Grassy Park police officer accused of sexual assault

A Grassy Park police officer will appear in court today to face charges of sexual assault against a community leader.

A Grassy Park police officer was arrested on Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting a community leader and is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court today.

The incident occurred on Thursday according to the victim Rogayba Pretorius-Adams,who is chairperson of Koellieyaatul Ansaar, the institute of the helpers feeding scheme when she at her Grassy Park home with her son.

According to her, it was only her youngest son and her alone in the home when things took a turn for the worse. Her son opened the door because she was sleeping and her husband had just left the house. She claims she had previously dealt with the officer because of work although she had not seen him in a few months.

She alleged that the officer took her hand and forced it on his private parts several times and she was so afraid that she did not know how to react or respond.
