The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Western Cape is set to stage another demonstration outside Brackenfell High School in Cape Town.
According to information shared on Twitter, the demonstration will take place on Monday 9 November.
This comes after it emerged that an unofficial matric ball organized by parents was attended exclusively by white pupils.
The school has maintained that the event was organized by parents after the official matric ball was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last week the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) also confirmed that it was aware that a private event that was not organized by the school was held and that two teachers were invited to the event and attended as guests.
The WCED, however, said it would also engage the school on allegations that it has not had a black teacher in nearly a decade.
Statistics that were shared by WCED spokesperson, Bronagh Hammond showed that since 2011 there were two coloured teachers currently working at the school, compared to 40 white teachers.
According to the stats, the one coloured teacher is employed in a WCED state paid post, while the other is a School Governing Body (SGB) post.
There are no statistics for black teachers on the WCED state paid post list at the school.
