South Africa on Monday launched a large-scale immunization drive, which aims to vaccinate around five million people aged over 60 by the end of June.
Among the first seniors to receive their vaccinations was Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.
Tutu and his wife Leah were vaccinated at the Brooklyn Chest Hospital in Cape Town.

Seven vaccination sites have been identified in the Cape Town metro, as a phase 2 vaccination sites during this first week. They include:

Helderberg Hospital
Mitchells Plain Hospital
Khayelitsha Hospital
Karl Bremer Hospital
Brackenfell Clinic
Albow Gardens Clinic
