DA premier candidate in the Western Cape, Alan Winde says Wednesday’s voting process and experience compared to that of 1994.
While speaking on Cape Talk radio, Winde thanked Capetonians for their courage, queueing in the rain and braving the cold in order to cast their votes.
“People were standing in the rain and that was really great for me to see.”
Alan Winde, said he was “cautiously optimistic”,when asked about the results so far.
He spoke about some of the changes he will be implementing as premier of the Western Cape.
“I want to take the new cabinet and say we have to make sure that we put up open cards and go for the lifestyle audit. Let’s set the benchmark,
You cannot unnecessarily reward yourself beyond your salary and I really hope that would really draw the line in the sand,” he said.
