The Western Cape High Court inspected an alleged brothel in Cape Town’s Brooklyn where victims were promised better opportunities and drugs for being sex workers.
Three people have been accused of running a sex trafficking and drugs network between the Brooklyn property and Springbok in the Northern Cape.
The victims testified to being paid in drugs, not having any money of their own, and not being allowed to make personal calls on their cell phones.
The court inspected the house and nearby locations, taking photos and measurements for the trial. The trial will continue on Thursday.
