Cape Town Metro Police officers have arrested a 15-year-old minor for alleged drug possession in Lentegeur, Mitchell’s Plain.
The teenager was spotted leaving a known drug outlet in the area. He was taken home and searched in the presence of his mother.
Metro Police spokesperson, Ruth Solomons says: “Officers spotted a 15- year-old leaving a known drug outlet in Eisleben Road.
When they stopped to inquire why he was there at the residence, the teen failed to provide an answer.
The officer took the teenager to his residence and searched him in the presence of his mother.
The search revealed 100 mandrax tablets. The officer arrested the teen and transported him and his mother to Lentegeur SAPS where he was detained for further investigation.”
