The Cape Town Cycle tour takes place on Sunday 10 October.
The event was cancelled earlier this year due to Covid-19, however the event will now go ahead under strict Covid-19 protocols.
This year the event will accommodate 18 000 cyclists this Sunday. It will also be the first time that the event will be held without spectators, owing to national Covid-19 regulations.
According to the City of Cape Town, the cycle race kicks off at 06:00 on Sunday morning when the first batch of riders set off towards Simon’s Town.
As part of this year’s stricter health protocols, there will be staggered rolling starts over a couple of hours to ensure better physical distancing between cyclists.
