The City of Cape Town will conduct maintenance of its electricity payment vending system on Monday 20 January from 22.00 hours to 04.00 hours 0n Tuesday 21 January.
Cape Town residents are urged to ensure that they have enough electricity units loaded to last them over the course of the maintenance.
Mayco member for energy and climate change Phindile Maxiti said:
“City of Cape Town prepaid electricity customers will not be able to purchase electricity during this time. Please ensure that you have sufficient units in your meter prior to this period.”
The City of Cape Town’s electricity prepayment vending system will be offline for 6 hours from 22:00 on Monday, 20 January until 04:00 on Tuesday, 21 January for planned necessary maintenance.
