2 call centre agents were arrested by the Hawks for allegedly supplying card holder’s information to a syndicate.
The syndicate subsequently manufactured counterfeit cards which were used for illegal purchases.
The suspects aged between 23 and 29 were arrested at their workplace, a reputable Financial Service and Credit Provider in Goodwood.
Over R95 000 loss was incurred across eight card holders during period between March 1 and 9 April 2019.
These two call centre agents allegedly gained access to card holder’s information whilst performing their duties of dealing with customer’s queries and requests.
The duo is expected to appear at Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on 23 April 2019.
