Brackenfell: Police fire stun grenades and use water cannon to disperse EFF protesters

The EFF was granted permission by the City of Cape Town for 100 members to protest again outside Brackenfell High School from midday.

Nevertheless, large numbers of people arrived to participate in the planned march to deliver a memorandum of demands.

The police have fired stun grenades and water cannons to disperse the crowds before they reached the school.

According to eNCA the Cape Party was present in support of pupils, parents, and teachers before being asked to leave as their gathering was deemed illegal.
