Barely a week since the death of Michele Pietersen, a former teacher in Paarl who was killed after a rock was thrown and hit her car on the N1, another woman has been attacked in the same manner on the N1.

A post was shared on the ‘Cape Town Talking’ Facebook group from a woman named Chantelle Crocker, who claims that her friend was attacked by four men whilst driving on the N1 outbound.

According to Crocker, her friend was driving from work at 3:00 am when she was attacked by four males who blocked the road with rocks near Century City.

“She slowed down when she saw the road was obstructed. They approached her car and threw a rock through the driver’s window injuring her. Thankfully she managed to reverse away from them and got away.”

She added that the incident was similar to the one that happened hardly a week ago, resulting in the death of a former Paarl teacher.

Locals have been warned to exercise caution when travelling on the N1, especially in the late evening or early hours of the morning.

SAPS is yet to confirm the circumstances surrounding this incident.
