38-year-old man drowns at Yzerfontein

Condolences to his family and friends.

A 38-year-old man has drowned at Yzerfontein on the Cape West Coast.

At 13h22, Saturday, 09 November, NSRI Yzerfontein duty crew were activated following Police reports of a drowning in progress at Rooipan se Klippe.

On arrival on the scene, the man was found on the surf line. He was recovered to the beach by NSRI crew. Sadly, after all CPR efforts were exhausted, he was declared deceased.

His body has been taken into the care of the Government Health Forensic Pathology Services and Police have opened an inquest docket.
