5 perish on the N2 highway

A head-on collision on Tuesday afternoon on the N2 highway claimed 5 lives whilst 2 other people were critically injured.The collision involved a car and a mini-bus taxi.

The 5 people including 3 children were declared dead on the scene of the accident. ER24 paramedics spokesperson Russel Meiring said the patients suffered serious fatalities and unfortunately nothing could be done for them.

The two men who were found in a critical condition were transported to Mediclinic George and George Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
