25 local and international artists descend on Salt River Cape Town to paint large murals as part of the 4th International Public Art Festival (IPAF).
IPAF’s 4th edition will run from 12 to 16 February and the organisers are expecting to paint over 100 murals in the Salt River area.
The festival will run under the them of ‘digitalisation’ with the aim to draw conversations on the opportunities presented by the ‘fourth industrial revolution’ to artists.
As an art organisation, we need to bring light to this very topic within the art sphere. What can we do to ensure that these transformations will have a positive impact on business and society as a whole?
The festival will also feature other programmes that include community gardens, art classes for children, support for spin-off businesses and other interventions aimed at community revival.
The IPAF is run by Baz-Art, a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to harnessing the power of art for the benefit of the public.
The festival is free to attend.
