Two Fidilety security guards were shot dead in zone 23, Langa on Sunday 11 April, while escorting an Albany bread truck.

The incident reportedly happened around 6.30am.

According to a statement released by Fidelity several suspects approached the vehicle on foot from behind and opened fire on the two officers as they walked past.

Both officers were dragged from the vehicle and searched before the suspects fled with their firearms.

Police are investigating the double murder.
