The Western Cape High has sentenced 14 Kraaifontein men to life imprisonment for the murder and kidnapping of six men in December 2014.
The men were sentenced on Wednesday 28 July 2021, seven years after the gruesome murders rocked the Kraaifontein community.
The 6 murdered young men were accused of robbing and killing Tsutsutsu Ntsundu while on his way home from work.
Ntsundu from Engcobo, Eastern Cape, was a security guard and was targeted for his firearm. He was the homeboy of the accused.
The 14 accused decided to take the law into their own hands and kidnapped the young men and took them to a field where they were stoned, stabbed with sharp objects and left for dead.
The victims’ naked bodies were discovered with their hands and feet tied on a farm near Joostenbergvlakte.
The leader among the group of attackers, Bangikhaya Koni is currently serving his sentence after he pleaded guilty to the crimes in 2017.
Koni was sentenced to six life terms.
